I liked that the book was organized into the network layers, but there was still some cherry-picking of the details that should have had more content.

One of my peers who’d worked in networks in industry for a few years learned new things from it from time to time. This expanded coverage of the network layer networkinh the swift rise in importance of software-defined networking SDNarguably the most important and exciting advance in networking in decades. Neetworking rest of the homework problems from the book weren’t too bad. The approach from the Application layer downwards was just the right one for me.
